Using Blogs for English Class

Using Technology in the Classroom

In today’s society, it is very important to include any type of technology for learning. ……

Token Economy Classroom

A token economy classroom is based on shaping the behavior of your students by rewarding the desired behavior. As a teacher, you can reward them with stickers, extra points, check marks, and so on. As a teacher, you must find a way to reward them once they have achieved a certain amount of “tokens.” There must also be a list of behaviors and rewards. There is no punishment for not completing the task, only rewards for completing the task. An example of this would be using Accelerated Reader Points. The teacher could set a certain amount of points per books read, and the students who complete the task could be rewarded with a pizza party at the end of the six weeks.

Hands-on Learning

For some students hands-on learning is a great way to comprehend and retain information. As a teacher, I want to use this approach as much as possible. It is also a great way for students to be innovative and creative with learning. It can also be a fun and exciting time for students to enjoy learning about something new.

Teacher/Parent Relationships

I believe that a communicative teacher/parent relationship is a fundamental tool for every child’s education. For a student to succeed, I believe that parents must be involved in every aspect of their child’s education.
